Solar helps tackle the problem automatically
A lightweight, flexible solar panel is bonded discreetly to the roof of the minibus and uses available daylight to provide supplementary charge to the vehicle’s 12V battery.
Once installed, there’s nothing for drivers or staff to switch on or remember. The system simply works in the background whenever daylight is available.
Less risk of battery-related downtime. Less need to periodically run vehicles during the holidays. Greater confidence your minibus will be ready when you need it.

Does a minibus solar panel need direct sunshine?
No. Genie Insights' CIGS technology generates energy from available daylight and is designed to perform in cloudy and lower-light conditions as well as direct sunlight.
Will solar stop my minibus battery going flat?
The system provides supplementary charge while daylight is available, helping maintain a healthier state of charge and reduce the risk of battery-related downtime. Battery condition, electrical demand and how long the vehicle remains unused can all affect performance.
Will you need to drill into my minibus roof?
No. The bonded panel itself doesn't require a mounting frame or conventional mechanical fixings through the roof. Installation requirements can vary by vehicle and will be confirmed before fitting.
Can solar be fitted to my existing Jurni minibus?
Yes, subject to vehicle suitability. Existing Jurni customers can enquire about retrofitting the solution to minibuses already in service.
Can I add solar to a new school minibus lease?
