On the other hand, buying might be better if you want full ownership, have the capital to invest upfront, and plan to keep the van for a long time. Consider how much flexibility you need, your budget, and how often you want to change vehicles before deciding.
For a VAT-registered business, there are many benefits to leasing a vehicle.
These benefits make leasing an attractive option for many businesses, providing both financial flexibility and potential tax savings.
In the UK you can drive a van if you hold a standard car driving licence provided the van weighs no more than 3,500kg.
For vans over 3,500kg, you’ll need to take extra tests before you can drive vehicles weighing between 3,500kg and 7,500kg or tow a trailer with your van.
Whether you are able to drive a van will depend on its weight rather than its size.
You can drive a van that weighs under 3,500kg if you hold a standard UK car driving licence.
Before you take out a lease agreement, a funder will perform a credit search on you (or your company, when leasing through a business), to assess the level of financial risk. The healthier your credit rating, the more likely it is that a funder will approve your lease. Customers with low credit ratings are more likely to be declined for finance.
