Audi Concept C: The TT’s Electric Successor Arrives in 2027

Audi has revealed the Concept C, a striking new all-electric roadster set to launch in 2027. While Audi hasn’t officially confirmed it as a direct replacement for the Audi TT, the two-seat sports car carries plenty of design inspiration from the iconic model and looks set to capture the same driver-focused spirit.

Exterior design: a new look for Audi

The Concept C represents a major shift in Audi’s design philosophy. Under the direction of Massimo Frascella, Audi’s new Chief Design Officer, the car blends elements from the brand’s past with a clean, minimalist approach.

Highlights include:

• Styling cues inspired by the 1930s Auto Union Type C racer and the original Audi TT
• An upright grille flanked by slim, four-line LED headlights that echo Audi’s four rings
• Compact proportions, short wheelbase, and low stance for a more agile, athletic look compared to the larger R8
• A folding hard-top roof that neatly transforms the car from coupe to roadster while maintaining a clean roofline

Audi says the production model will closely follow this design, with around 90% of what we see on the concept making it to the final car.

Interior: minimalist luxury

Inside, the Concept C introduces Audi’s new “shy tech” philosophy that keeps digital interfaces minimal while focusing on high-quality materials and a driver-first layout.

Key features include:

• A foldaway infotainment display that disappears beneath the dashboard when not in use
• A slim digital driver’s display paired with a secondary speed-only screen
• A mix of warm grey fabric, leather, and brushed aluminium for a refined, tactile finish
• A perfectly round, minimalist steering wheel designed to keep the focus firmly on driving

Overall, the interior feels stripped back yet sophisticated, with a focus on craftsmanship and usability rather than filling the dashboard with screens.

Performance & technology

The Audi Concept C is built on an all-new electric sports car platform, which is being co-developed with Porsche. The platform will also underpin Porsche’s upcoming electric 718 Boxster and Cayman, meaning performance should be a major focus.

What we know so far:

• Rear-wheel drive is expected as standard, with all-wheel drive reserved for higher-performance versions
• A mid-mounted battery layout positioned behind the seats for sharper handling and a lower centre of gravity
• 800-volt fast charging (similar to the Audi e-tron GT and Porsche Taycan), allowing 10–80% top-ups in under 25 minutes
• Audi is exploring options to simulate “engine feel” through sound design and virtual gear-shifting

Exact power, range, and performance figures will likely be revealed closer to the production car’s launch.

Pricing and release date

Audi has confirmed the Concept C will reach production in 2027. Pricing hasn’t been finalised, but early reports suggest it will slot between the outgoing Audi TT and the flagship R8 – likely in the £60,000–£80,000 range, depending on specification.
