What does the Fiat Grande Panda look like?

The Fiat Grande Panda is a chunky supermini that’s similar in size to the old Ford Fiesta. Its boxy design features a vertical front end and a flat bonnet, reminiscent of the classic Panda models from the 1980s.

The front stands out with its glossy black upper grille and pixelated LED headlights. Across the sides, debossed ‘PANDA’ lettering and striking 17-inch alloy wheels housed within prominent wheel arches add to its distinctive appearance.

The rear features a sloping windscreen, more debossed lettering and a pair of funky LED lights inspired by the original Fiat Panda.

How big is the Fiat Grande Panda?

The Fiat Grande Panda is 3,999mm long, 1,763mm wide and 1,570mm high, with 361 litres of boot space. This makes it much larger than the current Fiat Panda, providing 60% more luggage space.

What does the Fiat Grande Panda’s interior look like?

The Fiat Grande Panda’s interior is bright and vibrant just like its exterior. The design pays homage to the company’s iconic Lingotto factory in Turin that featured an oval-shaped test track on its roof. As a result, this oval shape can be spotted several times around the Grande Panda’s cabin.

One of the most distinctive parts of the interior is the bamboo fibre dashboard which contrasts well against the bright plastics wrapped around the air vents and centre console.

Drivers get to enjoy a 10-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen that’s sat behind a two-spoke steering wheel with integrated controls. There are also two USB-C ports and a wireless charging pad for convenient phone charging.

The seats in the Grand Panda have a chequered finish and integrated headrests. Despite the car’s compact design, there’s enough legroom in the back for passengers.

How fast is the Fiat Grande Panda?

Official performance figures haven’t been released yet, but we do know that the electric Fiat Grande Panda shares the same Smart Car platform as the new Citroen e-C3. This means the all-electric model will likely have a 0-62mph around 11 seconds and an 84mph top speed.

How much range does the Fiat Grande Panda have?

The all-electric Fiat Grande Panda has a 44kWh battery and 83kW motor, giving it up to 199 miles of range on a single charge. It also comes with a ‘market first’ integrated spiral charging cable for 7kW AC charging.

The mild-hybrid model is likely to have the same set-up as the new Citroen C3, meaning there’ll be a 99bhp 1.2-litre engine paired with a small electric motor to improve fuel efficiency.

How much will the Fiat Grande Panda cost?

The all-electric Fiat Grande Panda costs £20,975 while the mild-hybrid option costs £18,975.

This pricing is extremely competitive for an electric vehicle (EV) and means the Grand Panada is more affordable than the Citroen e-C3, Renault 5, Vauxhall Corsa Electric, and BYD Dolphin.

When will the Fiat Grande Panda go on sale?

In the UK, the Fiat Grand Panda will go on sale in spring 2025 and will be the first of many new Panda cars. Fiat pledges to launch a new model every year until 2027.
