Back in 2022, Jaguar Land Rover announced that it was committed to achieving an all-electric lineup by 2025, with the goal of reaching net zero across the entire manufacturing process by 2039.
Now, just months before the targeted date, the Tata Motors subsidiary is preparing to end production on all of its iconic saloons and sports cars.
The dramatic range reshuffle will see an end to popular picks such as the F-Type, XE and XF models.
Which Jaguar models will continue?
The only vehicles to continue production after June 2024 will be the E-Pace, F-Pace and I-Pace SUVs. When Jaguar Land Rover stops making petrol and diesel vehicles next year, it wants to start with a clean slate and a new all-electric lineup.
To kickstart the new era, Jaguar has a four-seater GT car that’s expected to arrive later this year. The luxury GT will use the brand’s new Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA) and will have a range of up to 430 miles.
The unnamed EV, which is said to be the Jaguar's most powerful road car, will be joined by another vehicle in 2025 and a third in 2026.
