The new GTI derivative of the iconic Polo will have a 204bhp 2.0 TSI engine and a wealth of driver assistance systems.
Front-wheel-drive returns with Volkswagen’s 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. This Polo also boasts a top speed of 149mph and a 0-62mph of 6.5 seconds.
There are also some notable exterior updates with this facelift such as the front full-width lightbar, a refreshed rear bumper design and dynamic turn signals.
Based on the Polo’s Life trim, this GTI will receive an 8" infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality integrated.
Volkswagen’s new digital cockpit will also present with the option of a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, voice control, 18" alloy wheels and a Beats sound system.
Red detailing on the outside and the GTI’s iconic honeycomb grille seals off this vehicle as the sportiest in the Polo lineup.
Prices for the Polo have not yet been confirmed but expect it to be around the £25,000 mark.
