In a world increasingly looking towards fully electric motoring, this Mustang model does not compromise on its petrol power and stays true to the values that made it famous in the first place.
Revealed last week at the Detroit Motor Show, the new Mustang adopts many of the design features showcased on the all-electric Mustang Mach-E that went on sale in 2020. This new petrol model, however, includes sharper details to complete a meaner look.
Slim LED headlights, dual air intakes and an aggressive bonnet are stand-out features from the front, and at the back, Mustang’s three-bar light signature sits on an extended deck.
The high-tech interior is the Mustang’s most digital yet. A 12.4-inch digital dashboard connects to a 13.2-inch central panel which runs Ford’s SYNC4 infotainment system.
Details regarding power and torque haven’t been disclosed, but don’t be surprised if it’s capable of more than 450bhp and 500Nm of torque with its 5.0-litre V8 engine. You’ll be able to drive the new Mustang in either a six-speed manual transmission or a ten-speed automatic transmission both in rear-wheel-drive.
A brand-new Mustang derivative was also revealed at the Detroit Motor Show. The new Dark Horse is even more aggressive in appearance and comes with a confirmed 500bhp output that’s said to give drivers one of the most fun and exhilarating Mustangs ever.
