One of the most notable updates can be seen on the PHEV trim. The P400e plug-in hybrid now comes with a bigger 19.2kWh battery (previously 13.6kWh) that extends its pure electric range from 33 to 40 miles.
The plug-in Velar can now charge at a faster 50kW speed too, making it one of the fastest-charging PHEVs on the market.
Across the rest of the Velar catalogue, there are minor exterior changes. The grille has been tweaked, the rear bumper has been lowered and the LED headlight signature has been changed.
On the inside, a new ‘floating’ 11.4-inch touchscreen running the latest generation of JLR’s Pivi Pro infotainment system with Alexa built-in, brings the Velar in line with the larger Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models.
Further upgrades see the introduction of new Active Road Noise Cancellation technology that Land Rover says makes the Velar the quietest in its class.
The starting price for the cheapest entry-level S trim with the mild hybrid 201bhp 2.0-litre diesel powertrain comes in at £54,045. Following this is the £58,450 Dynamic SE, £64,045 Dynamic HSE and £76,415 Autobiography derivatives.
