Said to have gone through the most exhaustive testing procedure of any car launched by the manufacturer, the Spectre’s introduction will signal a shift in Rolls-Royce’s line-up as they switch from ICE cars to EVs.
The electric coupe’s design language will also carry over to future models. Rolls-Royce has managed to create a sleek, sloping profile that produces an impressive drag coefficient of just 0.25Cd.
Rolls-Royce cars are known for how they quietly glide across roads and the all-electric Spectre is no different with its almost silent battery that's coupled with the company’s all-independent Planar suspension system to give the EV a luxurious ride quality.
Exact specifications are yet to be revealed, however, the powertrain will provide 576bhp and 900Nm of torque with the 0-60mph being somewhere in the region of 4.4 seconds.
We don’t know the battery size yet either, although, you can expect one around the size of 100kWh that can provide a range of more than 310 miles.
The Spectre’s exterior features the manufacturer’s iconic Pantheon grille alongside slim LED lights. At the rear, the boot lid merges seamlessly with the rear window that wraps over the top of the car. Rear-hinged doors and new 23-inch alloy wheels complete the premium look.
On the inside, brand-new digital architecture named SPIRIT takes control within the EV and the Phantom’s Rolls-Royce ‘gallery’ is carried over onto the passenger’s side of the dash.
Pricing for the Rolls-Royce Spectre is estimated to be in the mid-£300,000s.
