Specs

The Seres 3 will be available in two trim levels. The Active is the standard derivative priced at £29,995 and comes with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, 18-inch anthracite-finish alloy wheels, a reversing camera, LED lights and a keyless start.

The Spirit is the top-level derivative which costs £31,995 and adds heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, cruise control, lane departure warning, front parking sensors, keyless entry and wireless phone charging.

Batteries & range

A 54kWh battery means that the Seres 3 has a 205-mile WLTP range. Drivers will be able to complete a 20-80% charge in just 30 minutes and a 120kW motor gives the SUV an 8.9 0-62mph time.

For comparison, the current cheapest electric SUV is the MG ZS which starts at £30,495 with a 51kWh battery and 198-mile range.

Exterior & interior

Measuring 4,385mm long, 1,850mm wide and 1,650mm tall, the Seres 3 is slightly larger than its compact ZS rival. On the outside, there’s a blanked-out grille and sharp flowing curves down the sides. The headlights are fairly slim and swept back and a mini rear spoiler adds a sporty touch.

Inside, you’ll find a clean, minimalist-looking dashboard that houses the 10.25-inch touchscreen. Behind the steering wheel is the digital driver’s display which comes as standard.
