Named after the vibrant Raval district in Barcelona, Cupra’s latest EV is an affordable supermini set to launch later this year. Here’s everything we know so far.

What does the Cupra Raval look like?

The Cupra Raval is a supermini-sized EV that was first teased back in 2021 through the striking UrbanRebel concept. Since then, Cupra has revealed more images and several Raval prototypes have been spotted undergoing track testing.

The Raval incorporates Cupra’s new sharp styling that’s been implemented on the latest Formentor, Tavascan and Terramar models. This includes triangular light signatures at the front and rear, flush door handles and a prominent front grille.

In true Cupra fashion, the Raval’s exterior is marked by bold creases and angular shapes giving the EV a commanding presence on the road. From the side, the Raval’s silhouette resembles the Cupra Born, featuring a compact bonnet and short rear overhangs that emphasise its sporty stance.

How big is the Cupra Raval?

The Cupra Raval will be built on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB Small platform. This means it’ll be around 4 metres long and similar in size to the upcoming Volkswagen ID.2.

Designed for urban city driving, Cupra’s latest EV sits below the Cupra Born hatchback, making it the smallest model in the Spanish marque’s range.

What does the Cupra Raval’s interior look like?

Inside, the Cupra Raval boasts a futuristic design highlighted by a large central infotainment screen, atmospheric ambient lighting, and refined copper accents.

The dashboard’s angular and sculpted design, combined with dark upholstery and trim, creates a sleek and sporty aesthetic. While the concept photos hint at a bold and innovative interior, some elements, such as the distinctive four-spoke steering wheel, are likely to be simplified for the production model.

How fast is the Cupra Raval?

The base model of the Cupra Raval will feature a single front-mounted electric motor, delivering around 223bhp. This setup enables the Raval to accelerate from 0 to 62mph in just 6.9 seconds.

How much range does the Cupra Raval have?

Cupra estimates that the entry-level Raval will offer a range of up to 273 miles on a single charge. This impressive figure positions it as a standout choice among small urban EVs.
